Tuesday through Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Irvine Museum Collection provides a number of educational opportunities for second graders and above attending public and private schools in Orange County school districts. The museum offers exhibitions of California Impressionist (1890 to 1930) paintings, with displays that change every three to four months. Tours of the museum can be arranged for students and their teachers from Tuesday through Thursday, 9:00 am to 10:45 am, so that the students can experience firsthand these major works of art, which reflect the history and culture of California. As a public service, a reimbursement of $250 per bus is available to the school district for each school trip to our museum.

Over the years, The Irvine Museum Collection has published a series of 14 hardbound texts on California’s art history. Upon request, we will donate a complete set of all 14 volumes to your school. If interested, please provide a written request on the school’s letterhead.

Tours

The UCI Irvine Museum Collection offers a variety of tours of its exhibitions. A regularly scheduled weekly docent tour is offered every Thursday at 11:15 a.m. Visitors are welcome on this tour without an appointment. In addition, special docent tours are available to groups of ten or more on an appointment basis. Please contact Dora James, Curator of Education, to schedule a guided tour of our current exhibition.

There is no charge for admission to the museum.
